BookOS does not provide tax advice, tax filing, IRS e-file services, CPA services, investment advice, wealth management, payroll services, banking, lending, escrow, money transmission, or legal services. 2. Your responsibilities
You are solely responsible for:
- Reviewing all AI suggestions before relying on them.
- Verifying the accuracy and completeness of data in your workspace.
- Making your own payments, recordkeeping, reporting, and compliance decisions.
- Engaging your own accountant, bookkeeper, tax professional, attorney, investor, or advisor where appropriate.
- Securing access credentials for your workspace and any connected accounts.
3. AI features and informational outputs
AI features generate suggestions, summaries, anomaly flags, and drafts. All AI outputs are informational only and may be incomplete or incorrect. You must review AI suggestions before they are used in records, reports, or business decisions. AI outputs do not constitute professional advice. See our AI Use Policy for details on AI data handling.
4. Bank connections and third-party data
Bank connections, where available, are provided through third-party data providers you authorize directly. BookOS does not store bank login credentials or hold customer funds. We process data those providers return to us so we can organize it for you. You may revoke connections at any time. Payment and bank-data integrations, where available, are provided by third-party providers. BookOS does not hold customer funds or act as a money transmitter.
5. Subscriptions, billing, and renewals
Paid plans are recurring subscriptions billed in advance through our third-party payment processor. The current processor is listed in our subprocessor list. All prices are shown on the Pricing page and at checkout in U.S. Dollars unless otherwise stated. Applicable taxes may be added.
Auto-renewal. Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period at the then-current price for your plan, unless you cancel before the renewal date.
Free trials. Where a free trial is offered, you may cancel at any time before the trial ends to avoid being charged. If you do not cancel, your subscription will convert to a paid plan at the price disclosed at signup.
Cancellation. You can cancel at any time from your workspace settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; you retain access until then.
Refunds. Fees are non-refundable except where required by law or where we expressly state otherwise. You can request a refund by contacting support; we review requests in good faith and respond within a reasonable time.
Usage limits. Plans include the usage limits shown on the Pricing page. If you reach a limit we may pause or throttle features until the limit resets or you upgrade. We do not charge overage fees unless explicitly disclosed at purchase.

11. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, BookOS is not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, exemplary, or punitive damages, including penalties, interest, lost profits, missed deadlines, financial loss, professional decisions, compliance decisions, or reliance on AI-generated suggestions. Our aggregate liability for any claim is limited to the fees you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim.
