What public beta means
Features, integrations, and workflows may change and may contain errors or experience interruptions. Review imported transactions, AI suggestions, reconciliations, and financial reports before relying on them. Keep independent exports and original supporting documents. Public beta does not mean free: review the plan price and trial terms before subscribing.
Bookkeeping capabilities
BookOS includes transaction review, bank-feed and CSV intake, customers, invoices, vendor bills, double-entry journals, reconciliation, period controls, reports, projects, and time tracking. Purchase orders and inventory provide operational tracking; verify valuation and ledger treatment with your accountant. Availability depends on your plan and configured integrations.
Check these limitations before switching from QuickBooks
BookOS is not a complete replacement for every QuickBooks workflow. Payroll, tax filing and remittance, 1099 preparation, customer invoice payment acceptance, recurring invoices and bills, dedicated credit memos, fixed-asset depreciation, class/location reporting, and multi-entity consolidation are not provided. Recording a payment or refund records an accounting event; it does not move money. Foreign-exchange conversion and remeasurement are not supported. Use one base currency per workspace. Reports are for management review and are not independently audited or certified as GAAP-compliant.
Before relying on your books
Compare opening balances, trial balance, receivables, payables, and bank statements with your current system. Reconcile a full period and have your accountant review account classifications and tax treatment. Retain your source records and export your ledger regularly. Privacy and data requests and service status remain available during beta.
